Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad 2021
The Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad (SJChO) is a competition organised by the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC) in partnership with National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE). Incepted in 2010, the competition provides a platform for all upper secondary students to challenge themselves in their chemical knowledge and skills.
SJChO 2021 took place virtually in lieu of safe management measures. There were 2 rounds of competition:
Round 1: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Theory Paper
Round 2: Practical
Under the guidance of RGS teacher-mentors and alumni, Team RGS has achieved 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Merit.
